Cash for College Philanthropic Event

Hello OES Eagles,

It’s that time of year to support the Yosemite High School Community Awards by participating in our annual philanthropic project of the year. Students learn the importance of charity and helping our community by contributing to the OES Award fund.  This fund raises money for college scholarships presented to well-deserving YHS seniors at Community Awards Night.  Last year, our students donated $550 each to two YHS Seniors who attended OES or participated with the Big Buddies Program! Our goal is to beat last year’s total of $1,100….and I know we can do it!  We ask that children start bringing in coins or cash into their classrooms to donate to the OES Scholarship Fund. We’re collecting money from April 6 – May 8, 2026.

For grades TK-5, a jar in each classroom is used to collect money.  Class will earn tallies for each dollar AND filled jar.  The class that earns the most tallies will earn an ice cream party and extra recess. The scholarships will be presented at the YHS Community Awards Night, scheduled on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 6:30 pm in the YHS Auditorium.
