Bond Measures on the Ballot November 3
Dear Bass Lake Families,
Please see the information from YUSD Superintendent Brian Beck below:
I am writing to provide an update on Yosemite Unified School District’s long-term facilities planning and two school bond measures that will appear on the ballot Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Over the past several years, we have carefully evaluated the condition of our schools through a comprehensive facilities planning process. This work identified significant needs across the district, including aging building systems, health and safety improvements, modernization needs, and repairs and upgrades that will help keep our schools functional for years to come. Many of these projects go far beyond what the district can address through its annual operating budget alone.
What’s on the Ballot?
To help address these needs, the YUSD Board of Trustees voted to place two separate bond measures before local voters—one focused on elementary school facilities (Measure W) and one focused on Yosemite High School (Measure Y). Together, the measures would authorize up to $79.2 million in local bond funding for facility improvements.
The proposed projects are based on priorities identified through the district’s facilities planning process. They include health and safety improvements, repairs and modernization of aging facilities and infrastructure, and improvements to learning and activity spaces, including the pool at YHS.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for staying informed and engaged as we discuss the future of our school facilities and the students they serve.
